The origins of the creation of stone buggies go back to the distant 2000s, when enterprising wealthy Americans decided to make a fuss not with standard rides on ATVs, enduro, motocross or classic buggies with a rear-engined engine type rail buggy action (cross buggies, racing buggies, trial buggies), but to try something new and really cool.

One of the pioneers of the layout on a spatial frame with powerful axles, 8-lever suspension, serious V8, large wheels and articulation was Tim Cameron with his first rock bouncer buggy Fat Girl 2007.

In 2011, the first walk of like-minded people on stone buggy bouncers (rock bouncer buggy) took place, among which were Tim Cameron, Bryan Cole, Bobby Taner, etc.

An independent sports discipline, the Rock Bouncer Pro Rock Racing series, soon appeared. The competitions are held annually in the USA including steep climbs up to 80% and the same climbs down that you need to get through. The fastest pilot wins according to the photochronometry result. Since recently, large-scale national competitions have been held with lots of participants in various states by series:

- CRRS - central rock racing series
- SRRS - southern rock racing series
- NRRS - northern rock racing series

NATIONAL ROCK RACING ASSOCIATION - since 2012, the national association offering professional off-road motorsports of the highest level. Designed for organization, rules, regulations and of course the coveted rewards of the first on off-road sites across America. There was a team of healthy rock buggy fanatics who spruced up messy, crazy racing on the edge, personalities living to the max.

He has got a rich history in vehicle customization, from mini-trucks with adjustable suspension to full-fledged race cars with over 1,000 horsepower. Clyde has transformed rock racing from a humble, backwater form of entertainment into a worldwide phenomenon with limitless growth in the future.

In Russia, the only buggy that can get up on the same level as American ones is a CRAMPER. Created painstakingly with great strength and decent power.
